Kaizer Chiefs have announced the arrival of another attacking midfielder this week, Siphelele Ntshangase from Baroka FC.
The 24-year-old midfielder signed for an initial two and a half years with the option to extend his stay with Amakhosi for one year.
The South African giants made the announcement on their official website on Thursday evening.
“We have been working tirelessly for the past few weeks to negotiate and finalise these new deals,” says Amakhosi’s Football Manager, Bobby Motaung.
Chiefs have also signed Colombian striker Leonardo Castro from Mamelodi Sundowns and South African winger Kabelo Mahlasela from Bloemfontein Celtic during the current January Transfer Window.
“All the signings were done in consultation with coach Steve Komphela and his technical team. Our plan is to have a strong team that will compete fiercely in the second half of the season and beyond,” he added.
“We welcome the player to Naturena. We are positive that the three acquisitions we’ve made thus far will make our supporters happy,” concludes Motaung.
Ntshangase, who is a South Africa international, is happy to have joined the four-time Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions.
“I am delighted to be here,” says Ntshangase. “It has always been my dream to don the Gold and Black jersey and I’m excited that the dream has come to fruition.”
Motaung thanked Baroka FC, Morgan Mammila and the player’s business manager Mahlakgane for their cooperation. Ntshangase will wear jersey number 5.
