Liberian FA Congratulates President George Weah

The President of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) has sent a message of Congratulations to the new President of the Republic in George Manneh Weah.

In his congratulatory message to Weah, LFA President Musa Bility said the Liberian football community is excited that one of its own has been given the mandate by the Liberian people to occupy the country’s highest seat in leadership.

The LFA says it is glad that a former Technical Director of the NATIONAL Team, Captain and one-time most valuable player in its league has ascended to the nation’s highest office.

The Liberia Football Association is hopeful that football will get a new face and that the development of the game will take priority more than ever before under the presidency of Soccer legend.

"Now that Liberia has a president-elect who was made by football, we believe that the best time in Liberian football is about to come. If football doesn't develop in the next six years it will never develop again," said Bility.
