Despite signing Kaizer Chiefs defender in Lorenzo Gordinho, Bloemfontein Celtic are sad to lose Kabelo Mahlasela after moving in the opposite direction.
According to the club’s CEO, Khumbulani Konco, he admits the club have lost a sensational player in Mahlasela.
However, he is certain Gordinho will add value at the back for Phunya Sele Sele.
Siwelele parted ways with Mahlasela to Chiefs as part of a trade that saw the defender signing a one-year loan deal.
"Lorenzo has proven his worth since his first PSL appearance. He is such an industrious and a resolute type of defender,” said Konco to Celtic’s website.
“Signing him will bring more stability in our already reliable defence.
"Yes, we have lost one sensational player in Mahlasela, whom we negotiated with to remain at Celtic but he was set on joining Kaizer Chiefs and we wish 'Skipper' all of the best.
"Our plan is to make sure we solidify every department with quality players, hence the arrival of such diligent players."
