Ahead of the 2018 CAF African Nations Championships tournament in Morocco, Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni has urged the team to have resilience.
Museveni hosted the Cranes as they are finalising their preparations en route to Morocco for the tournament for locally-based players.
The players were served lunch at the president’s residence and the president’s official press secretary, Linda Nabusayi Wamboka said the players must be focused.
“Our teams need stamina. Be focused and don’t get tired from running around. This idea of stamina and skill is important. The tactics come later” Wamboka said on behalf of the president.
On the other hand, there was a moment to officially introduce the new Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre.
The Cranes players will fly out on Thursday morning to Morocco.
However, before getting their Group B account underway, they will first meet Congo Brazzaville and Cameroon in friendlies this weekend.
The East Africans are in Group B alongside West Africans, Ivory Coast, Zambia and Namibia.
