Liverpool could intensify their reported interest in Riyad Mahrez following Philippe Coutinho's move to Barcelona.
The Spanish giants on Saturday evening confirmed that the Brazilian midfielder had completed his switch to the Camp Nou, with the club having coughed up around £142 million for his services.
Leicester City winger, Mahrez, has been identified as a possible replacement for Coutinho at Anfield with the 26-year-old having attracted strong interest from Arsenal and Roma in the past.
The Algerian has scored eight goals - assisting a further eight - in 24 matches across all competitions this season.
Mahrez, who was crowned the 2015-16 PFA Player of the Year following his role in helping the club to a historic league title, has continued to impress for the Foxes.
