Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru has returned to Everton to continue his recovery after suffering injury while on loan at Anderlecht.

The 20-year-old picked up an injury in a clash against former club Eupen late last month, with Anderlecht having confirmed soon after that he will be out of action for the foreseeable future.

Onyekuru switched back to the Belgian top-flight on loan from the Toffees, whom he joined in June last year. He scored nine goals in 19 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League before limping off at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium on the 22nd of December.

The winger made a name for himself at Eupen, netting 30 goals in 60 appearances for the club.

Injury comes at a very bad time for Onyekuru who was well on his way to sealing a place in the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup.
