The Zambian national team is set to play Orlando Pirates in an international friendly on Wednesday as they finalise their 2018 CAF African Nations Championship preparations.

Media reports in the country suggest that Chipolopolo have left Zambia for South Africa as they will meet the Soweto giants on Wednesday.

After the friendly clash, coach Wedson Nyirenda’s men will leave for Morocco where they will open their Group B account against Uganda on Sunday January 14.

The fifth 2018 CHAN tournament is a continental showpiece set aside for locally-based players and will take place from January 13 until February 4.

Meanwhile, the Southern Africans will also face Ivory Coast, Namibia and the Cranes, but Nyirenda will first assess his men against Justin Shonga’s South African club.

Their second match in Group B is against the Elephants on January 18 and they will wrap up their group commitments against the Brave Warriors of Namibia on January 22.
