English Premier League side, West Ham are reportedly keen on landing Egypt and Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny.
The Irons have shortlisted the Pharaohs player as they are looking for options to strengthen their midfield this transfer window.
Although he was linked with Bournemouth this month, the Hammers have since joined the race to sign the 25-year-old midfielder.
West Ham coach David Moyes revealed in an interview earlier in December that he was searching for midfielders to add depth to his squad.
According to Sky Sports sources, Moyes has earmarked Elneny along with Joe Allen, Steven N’Zonzi, William Carvalho, Jonjo Shelvey and his Arsenal teammate Francis Coquelin.
For the Gunners, Elneny has featured in five EPL games this season including only two starts and could be tempted to move away from the Emirates Stadium.
Moreover, with the 2018 FIFA World Cup kicking off in six months, Elneny might be looking for a new club hoping to gain more playing time and be part of the squad en route to Russia.
