Following the departure of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool to join Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona, Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah has sent the Brazilian a message.

Salah said he enjoyed playing with the midfielder and has wished his former teammate the best of luck.

Following huge speculation about his next move, Coutinho dumped the Reds for Barcelona and was unveiled at Camp Nou on Monday.

He completed his switch for a £145 million record fee that will keep him at the club until 2023 after netting 12 goals and eight assists in 20 games in all competitions this season.

The ex-Espanyol and Inter Milan player ended his five-year stay at Anfield Stadium, but manager Jurgen Klopp is now looking for a replacement.

Furthermore, media reports in England suggest that Klopp could be tempted to sign Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez.
