Nigeria national team coach Gernot Rohr has warned Leicester City duo Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho that they need to get game time for them to play at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The Super Eagles duo is currently not playing regularly in the English Premier League and their places in the World Cup squad are at risk.

Musa is yet to taste a minute of first team football this season while Iheanacho has been in and out of the team since his move from Manchester City in the summer.

Although Rohr has persisted with the duo, the coach has now advised them to move away from the Foxes to help boost their chances of making his squad to the global showpiece.

”Musa and Iheanacho need to move in January because they are not playing at their present club. They need to move to a team where they will be playing,” said Rohr.

“They will help their chances of representing Nigeria at the World Cup.”

Meanwhile, a number of media houses have reported that the duo’s high wages could be a stumbling block to teams interested in their services.
