Chris Katongo wishes Zambia best of luck in CHAN

Zambian legendary striker Chris Katongo has wished the Chipolopolo national team the best of luck at the 2018 CAF African Nations Championship in Morocco.

Coach Wedson Nyirenda’s men are set to get their Group B campaign underway against the Cranes of Uganda this weekend.

The former Mamelodi Sundows and Jomo Cosmos striker in South Africa was speaking during the Castle Lager Africa 5's launch in Johannesburg.


The 2012 African Nations Cup skipper says the team must do their best to raise the country’s flag in the north.

“The team is good, all the best and to all the participants, I hope they will produce the best football in the tournament,” said Katongo to

"Even At the global stage, the players must just believe in themselves.

"I am confident the team and the technical team will do what is best to achieve the best results in Morocco.
