Information coming from Angola is that the country’s football association has suspended Primeiro de Agosto Sports Club players.
The players in question have failed to honour their national team call-ups to represent the nation at the 2018 CAF African Nations Championship.
Media reports reveal that the Angolan Football Federation has suspended Primeiro de Agosto players from all competitions for 70 days.
The information was transmitted on Monday in Luanda by the sports channel of the National Radio of Angola (Radio-5).
FAF secretary general Rui Costa confirmed the development, but declined to elaborate as he explained that a statement was sent to the military club explaining the ruling of the governing body.
The players facing suspension are Paizo (right back), Dany Massunguna (center back), Nelson Luz (left winger), Geraldo (right winger), Buá (midfielder), Natael (left back) and midfielder Chow.
Resulting from the suspension, the two-time national champions will participate in the Angolan Super Cup on February 4 against Petro de Luanda without these seven key players.
