Ghana international midfielder Thomas Partey has recently revealed in an interview with Spanish outlet Marca.com that he left for Spain as a teenager without telling anyone!
The 24-year-old has enjoyed an excellent season for Atletico Madrid, while also cementing himself as a regular for the Black Stars.
Partey took a massive leap of faith in leaving for Spain on advice from an agent, and while a similar sort of move has failed for so many aspiring footballers from the African continent - the decision has paid dividends for the hard-running midfielder.

Having risen through the ranks at the Spanish La Liga club, Partey honed his skills on-loan at UD Almería and RCD Mallorca before breaking into the Atleti First Team.
Partey has established himself as a crowd favourite under Diego Simeone this season and has scored four times in 26 appearances across all competitions - manning several positions in the process.
Next up for Atleti is a clash against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey this evening.
