Major Soccer League side Montreal Impact are set to sign Algerian international and Bologna midfielder Saphir Taider.
Some rumours suggest the player has already signed a three-year contract with the club, but nothing is confirmed just yet.
Impact are reportedly chasing the Bologna midfielder and he is expected to join for a deal until June 2020.
The 25-year-old was born in France and has made 62 appearances for the Italian side over the past three seasons after spending two seasons on loan from Inter Milan.
Although he made nine league appearances for Bologna this season and scored once, Impact owner Joey Saputo, who is also the chairman of Bologna, is impressed.
After making his senior debut with French Ligue 1 side Grenoble, Taider also had spells with Juventus and Sassuolo as well as a loan spell at Southampton United in 2014.
Having played in 38 matches for the Desert Warriors after coming up through the French youth setup, Taider took part in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
