PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Arsenal close in on Gabon speedster

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks set to finally get his desired move away from Borussia Dortmund, with Arsenal reportedly close to landing the Gabon international.

The 28-year-old, who joined the German Bundesliga outfit in July 2013, has gone on to score 141 goals in 212 games for the club - with his tally but a few short of the Black & Yellows record.

Aubameyang is the highest-scoring African in German top-flight history with his goals having played an integral part in the club's success over the past few seasons.

Dortmund have lashed out at Arsene Wenger's comments regarding Aubameyang with the forward axed from the club's traveling party for their upcoming clash away to Hertha Berlin, as a result of growing transfer speculation.

The Gunners are desperate to land Aubameyang with Alexis Sanchez close to leaving the North London club.
