Latest news coming from England is that Swansea City have seen their bid rejected by West Ham in an aim to lure the Ghanaian striker Andre Ayew to their club.

The Swans were looking to sign their former striker, Ayew, from the Hammers during the ongoing transfer window.

Ayew left the Liberty Stadium in August 2016 for the Irons who paid close to £20m for the Black Stars international who netted 15 goals in his English Premier League debut campaign.

However, it is reported that Swansea may need to break their £15.5m transfer record they paid to Atletico Madrid for Borja Baston in August 2016, if they want to re-sign the 28-year-old.

Ayew’s brother, Jordan is currently on the books of Swansea as the Hammers are short of options up front after Andy Carroll sustained an ankle injury.

On the other hand, manager David Moyes may also be reluctant to sell a player to a direct rival in the lower reaches of the Premier League.
