The 22-year-old forward looks set to feature for his club, Henan Jianye when the 2018 Chinese Super League campaign starts.
Jianye have been busy preparing for the upcoming season - playing international club friendly matches.
Bassogog, who was out nursing a knee injury which he sustained late last year, has been featuring in the team’s friendly games.
Last week Tuesday, Jianye locked horns with Spanish Segunda División Real Zaragoza in a friendly game which was played at the Estadio La Romareda.
The match ended in a 2-2 draw with Ricardo Vaz Te scoring twice for Jianye. Bassogog started the game as he continues to improve his fitness condition.
The 2018 Chinese Super League season is expected to start soon. New rules in the league will allow teams to field no more than three foreigners in each game.
While forcing coaches to select the same number of Chinese players under the age of 23 as the non-Chinese players in their starting line-up.
The amendment to the regulations is certain to have a major impact on the upcoming campaign.
