Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris has revealed his determination to win trophies with new club Porto.
The 26-year-old joined the Portuguese giants on loan from French club Lorient for the rest of the 2017/18 season, with a €6million option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign.
"I'm not here by my name. I am very happy and ready to give everything so that the club can succeed and win trophies," Waris told the club’s website.
The Ghanaian has expressed a desire to create good on-field relationships with fellow Africans Vincent Aboubakar, Moussa Marega and Yacine Brahimi.
"They are fantastic players, they score almost always. I am also here to help you score more goals and win for the team. We could probably score a few more goals together.
“That is the most important thing: not who makes the mark but we do it together.”
He added, “I think I can go well with them, because they have an offensive mentality, which I also have. It's a matter of understanding and working together."
Waris will hope to make his Porto debut when they face Moreirense in a Primeira Liga clash on Wednesday night.
