Ahmed Musa’s agent, Tony Harris, has revealed that the Nigerian international is likely to be loaned to Russian side CSKA Moscow for the rest of the season.
Musa is currently on the books of Leicester City, but has seen little playing time for the former Premier League champions.
A loan move to CSKA, a club he represented from 2012 to 2016, would mean far more first-team action and ensure he is fit and firing ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
“Negotiations with Leicester continue and go in a positive light. Most likely, Ahmed will go on loan to CSKA in this transfer window. The chances for this are very high,” Harris told championat.com.
Musa scored 54 goals in 168 matches for CSKA before his transfer to Leicester in the European summer of 2016. He is contracted to the Foxes until June 2020.
