Egyptian defender Omar Gaber says he could not turn down an opportunity to reunite with former coach Bob Bradley in the United States.
The Pharaohs international recently signed for Major League Soccer outfit, Los Angeles Football Club.
Bradley previously coached the Egyptian national team between 2011 and 2013 and is the man who gave Gaber his international debut.
“Mr. Bob, he's the one [who] chose me to represent the national team at the beginning,” Gaber said.
“I was 19 years old, and he chose me....he helped [me find] a place to play in Europe.
"He's a great coach and a great person as well, and I'm happy and excited to work with him again.
“I think we will achieve good things together this season.
“When they (LAFC) started to speak to me, I felt that they are so professional and they have ambitions.
“They want to achieve good things. Of course, Mr. Bob Bradley, I was sure that I have to come when he spoke to me.”
Gaber was seeing very little time with the reigning Swiss Super League and Swiss Cup winners, FC Basel and will want to resurrect his career in the MLS.
