Brown Ideye joins Malaga on loan

Spanish club Malaga have announced the loan signing of Nigerian striker Brown Ideye from Chinese Super League club Tianjin Teda.The 29-year-old will play in La Liga for the remainder of the 2017/18 season and is hoping to reignite his best form to catch the eye of Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
Ideye spent a year in China after signing with Tianjin in early 2017. He has also played for Dynamo Kyiv, West Bromwich Albion and Olympiacos in his European club career.
He is the second Super Eagles striker to make a return to Europe from China in the January transfer window, following in the footsteps of Anthony Ujah, who joined Mainz 05.
