Ghana FA president and CAF vice president Kwesi Nyantakyi has praised Morocco for their organisation of the 2018 African Nations Championship.

The North African country stepped up to the plate late in 2017 and took on the responsibility of staging CHAN after Kenya were stripped of their hosting rights.

In an interview with Moroccan media outlet Quatiid Assabah on Tuesday, the GFA boss said that Morocco "has honored all of Africa” in the way it has taken on the challenge of hosting CHAN.

Nyantakyi added that this fifth edition of the CHAN is the best organised in the history of the competition and bodes well for Morocco’s bid for the 2026 World Cup.

He added that the four cities hosting CHAN matches are ready for the challenge of the 2026 World Cup, which he said "is the project of an entire continent”
