News coming from England is that Stoke City are close to signing Senegal and Galatasaray midfielder Badou Ndiaye.
The Daily Mail website has it that City will end their long search for an energetic midfielder by signing the Senegalese international.
A fee of around £14million has been agreed between the two clubs and the 27-year-old should be able to complete the move once work permit issues have been sorted out.
He will become Stoke’s third signing of the current transfer window following the arrival of defenders Moritz Bauer and Kostas Stafylidis.
Although Inter Milan and Newcastle United were also interested, the player felt being close to international team-mates Biram Mame Diouf, Sadio Mane and Idrissa Gueye would help him settle quickly.
Even before new manager Paul Lambert was appointed three weeks ago, the club identified they needed more legs in midfield as a priority in their bid stay in the English Premier League.
Ndiaye has featured eight times for the Lions of Teranga and has previously played in Norway and Turkey, before joining Galatasaray from Osmanlispor in 2017.
