Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri has continued to heap praise on the Senegal defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

Sarri was speaking to the club’s official website regarding their title race, the importance of winning their matches and racism levelled against the African centre back.

The 1-0 win over Atalanta in the Serie A last week gave Sarri’s men a massive boost considering the club’s title ambitions.

"It’s a great win that gives us a boos. We want to dedicate it to our supporters,” said the coach.

"We all knew we were coming up against strong opponents who have always made life difficult for us.

"It was certainly an important win. I don’t know to what extent but, for sure, no one finds it easily to win here.”

Furthermore, the Partenopei boss had a few words about the chanting by the home fans as they racially booed the Lions of Teranga international.

"Koulibaly was quite rightly upset by the racist chants," he commented.

"I should add there was more than one example of racism today: being insulted as Southerners throughout the game was certainly not nice to hear."

Napoli still top the Serie A log table with 57 points from 22 games and lead Juventus by a point at number two.
