Morocco coach Jamal Sellami believes that his side will need to be efficient in converting their chances against Libya in this evening’s 2018 African Nations Championship semifinal.

The Atlas Lions and Mediterranean Knights will meet in the CHAN’s first semifinal this evening, set for Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca.

Morocco have been prolific in front of goal so far in the tournament, scoring nine goals (six of which have gone to striker Ayoub El Kaabi) in four matches, but Sellami believes Libya’s defence will be tough to break down.

"We must win tomorrow's match against Libya, which is an opponent of another calibre and another dimension. We need to be more efficient than before because we will not have many opportunities,” the Morocco coach explained at a pre-match press conference.

"We took all our precautions because our opponent will bravely defend his chances. Libya is a well organized team playing in a block.

“We are ready. In games like this, great players make the difference. I hope my players will make the difference tomorrow and reach the final. It will be a difficult match, but we have the ability to find resources.

“The national team has made a good preparation, but it must remain focused. I hope luck will be with us tomorrow. The level of both teams is almost similar. The match will be played on details.”

The match will kick-off at 18h30 CAT.
