The January transfer window has snapped shut for most of Europe and Cameroonian striker Vincent Aboubakar remains on the books of Porto.
Given the 26-year-old’s prolific form this season, it always seemed unlikely that he would be allowed to leave by his Portuguese club, though there were rumours linking him to both Besiktas and Swansea City.
Instead of any transfer away from Porto, Aboubakar will now be focused on helping his club win the Primeira Liga and go as far as they can manage in the UEFA Champions League.
Porto were held to a goalless draw at Moreirense in their last Liga match on Tuesday night, but they remain both unbeaten and the favourites to claim the title ahead of rivals Benfica and Sporting.
They will have a home clash against Braga on Saturday night, with Aboubakar looking to add to the 14 league goals he has netted in 20 appearances this season.
