Egypt international Mohamed Salah has been likened with Argentine superstar Lionel Messi ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals which will be hosted by Russia.
Salah has been in electrifying form for English Premier League giants Liverpool FC since joining the club from Italian side AS Roma last June.
Russia head coach Stanislav Cherchesov has praised Salah’s skills with his side having been pitted against Egypt in Group A at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
“We should not let Salah move freely.
His style is like Messi’s,” he said on the official FIFA website.
Cherchesov continued, but observed a difference in play between his Liverpool and national team performances.
“He does not play the same when he is among the Egyptian team.”
Salah’s role with the Egyptian national team is “different,” and his team-mates are different from those at Liverpool, Cherchesov added.
Argentina are in Group D alongside Nigeria, Iceland as well as Croatia.
