The Egypt international's brace against Tottenham Hotspur saw him become the fastest Liverpool FC player to score 20 goals in the English Premier League (EPL) on Sunday.
The winger-cum-striker opened the scoring in the first half and he reached 20 league goals for the season after just 25 games for the Reds.
This saw Salah break the 27-match record that was held by both Spanish striker Fernando Torres and England international Daniel Sturridge at Liverpool.
Only two Liverpool players have hit the milestone quicker in the history of the English top flight, Fred Pagnam doing so in 23 games in 1915 and Ronald Orr in 24 games in 1909.
Last December, Salah scored as Liverpool beat Bournemouth 4-0 away and he became the joint-second fastest player to reach 20 goals for Liverpool on his 26th appearance in all competitions only behind George Allan who reached the milestone in 19 appearances in 1895.
The 25-year-old forward went on to make it 21 goals in 25 matches as Liverpool and Spurs settled for a 2-2 draw at the iconic Anfield Stadium.
“Mo scored both goals, the first one was so cool,” Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp said about Salah.
"To get a ball there and with or without a goalkeeper - that's how it looked. It makes no difference.
"The second one was outstanding. It's really difficult to defend because everybody in the stadium, his team-mates involved, though the would play a pass,” the German added.
"In the end he did it by himself which was probably the best idea in this moment.
"When you think about it, you have the penalty a few minutes before where everyone was sure, until a minute ago, that it was offside,” he continued.
"The players involved were 100% sure, that feels unfair, 'what's going on here?'
"Then they make a penalty like that and then we score a goal like this, it felt quite good but not for long!"
Only Spurs striker Harry Kane has scored more goals than Salah in the EPL this season. The English marksman has scored 22 goals with 12 games left.
