Niger Tornadoes head coach Erasmus Onuh says his team needs to improve following their defeat to Katsina United in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) match.
Katsina midfielder Destiny Ashadi played a pivotal role in his team’s 2-0 win over Tornadoes in a matchday 7 fixture of the NPFL at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina on Sunday.
Chinedu Ajanah and Eric Dufegha scored a goal each for Katsina United but Ashadi was the man in the thick of things as he set up both goals to earn himself a brace of assists.
Speaking after the game, Onuh stated that his team are missing a link and they would continue to work hard to get it right.
“We would need to bring in one or two players during the next transfer window,” Onuh said on the NPFL website.
“But before then we would continue to work with what we have until we get it right,” he added.
Struggling Tornadoes will now lock horns with Heartland in their next league game which is scheduled to be played at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium on Wednesday.
Heartland (seven points) and Tornadoes (six points) are placed 16th and 19th respectively on the league standings.
