News coming from England is that Egyptian international defender Ali Gabr will have to wait for an additional week before featuring for West Bromwich Albion.
The Pharaohs international is yet to play for his new side as he is waiting to attain his work permit in the English Premier League.
West Brom signed Gabr on a deal that is identical to the one which saw his Egypt teammate Ahmed Hegazi switch to the Baggies.
The Zamalek central defender transferred on loan for €500,000 with an option to buy set at €2.5 million.
Due to his delayed permit, Gabr could not make his debut in the games against Manchester City and Southampton, with his absence likely to extend towards next week when the Premier League strugglers face Chelsea.
According to the Express & Star website, the 29-year-old defender is currently in Egypt where the British Embassy in Cairo is processing the paperwork that Albion have sent off.
West Brom are hopeful Gabr will have resolved the work permit matter by the time they go head-to-head against Southampton in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The Baggies occupy the last place in the EPL table after collecting 20 points after the conclusion of 26 rounds.
