Ex-Zambian national team skipper Elijah Tana has been roped in as assistant coach of Kansanshi Dynamos in the FAZ Division One.
According to the club chairman, Mark Silimi, he said Tana has signed a one-year deal as he confirmed the news.
The Chipolopolo legend has joined the Kansanshi bench led by head coach Israel Mwanza as they also played together at Nchanga Rangers.
Media reports in Zambia indicate that Tana had been club-less since leaving Nchanga seven months ago.
“We have brought in Elijah Tana as Israel Mwanza’s assistant coach. Israel has just been promoted to the position of head coach,” Silimi said.
“We have given them a season long contract. This bench should be able to achieve our goal of winning promotion to the Super Division.”
Kansanshi missed promotion by a whisker last season after finishing second to Kitwe United, who secured promotion on the final day of the season.
