The first-leg matches for the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League will wrap up today with 12 matches across the continent.

Some of the big names in action include Ethiopian contenders Saint George, who will be at home to South Sudan’s Wau Salaam in Addis Ababa, as well as Ghanaian champions Aduana Stars, who will play in Cairo against Libya’s Al Tahadi.

There are also a couple of interesting regional derbies on the card, with Lesotho’s Bantu FC taking on Swaziland’s Mbabane Swallows, while Nigerian sides MFM and Plateau United have matches against West Africans rivals Real Bamako (Mali) and Eding Sport (Cameroon).

Algerian hopefuls ES Setif and MC Alger are at home to CAR’s Real de Bangui and away to Congo’s AS Otoho respectively, while Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas and DR Congo heavyweights AS Vita have matches away to Buffles FC of Benin and at home to Malawian champions Mighty Wanderers.

The second-leg matches for all preliminary round ties are scheduled to be played over the midweek of 20-21 February.
