Former England international Matt Le Tissier singled out Senegal international Oumar Niasse for praise following Everton's 3-1 win over Crystal Palace.
Niasse grabbed an assist and a goal in an English Premier League game which was played at Goodison Park on Saturday.
Le Tissier stated that Niasse, who joined Everton from Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow two years ago, deserves to be praised.
"You've got to give Niasse credit. He was ridiculed a lot and you never thought he had a future at Everton," Le Tissier told Sky Sports News.
"But there he is, sticking another header away for his seventh Premier League goal of the season.
"Only Wayne Rooney has got more goals than him this season."
Niasse will look to continue his good form when Everton face Watford on Saturday, the 24th of February 2018.
The league game is scheduled to be played at the Vicarage Stadium in Watford.
