Kaizer Chiefs beat Lamontville Golden Arrows 3-0 in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 match at the FNB Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The win sees Amakhosi advance to the Last 16, while Abafana Bes'thende bowed out of the tournament.

Chiefs threatened first through Leonardo Castro, whose powerful shot was saved by Arrows goalkeeper Maxmilian Mbaeva in the 14th minute.

The hosts were looking dangerous every time they attacked and Joseph Molangoane's cross was saved by Mbaeva on the hour-mark.

However, Arrows did threaten through Mzwandile Buthelezi whose effort was saved by Chiefs keeper Itumeleng Khune, who ensured that the first-half ended goalless.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 52nd minute when Ryan Moon scored with a tap in with Mbaeva beaten.

The momentum was Amakhosi in the late stages of the game as Abafana Bes'thende struggled to cope the hosts' pace.

Bernard Parker then made it 2-0 to Chiefs in the 81st minute after controlling the ball well and he scored with a good finish.

Chiefs' 3-0 win was sealed by Joseph Molangoane, who scored the the 84th minute after the Arrows defence was exposed.
