Mbabane Swallows skipper Tony Tsabedze has urged their supporters to keep rallying behind the team as they hope to do well in the CAF Champions League.

The Birds are fresh from a 4-2 win over Bantu FC of Lesotho last weekend in the first leg of their preliminary stage encounter.

Following the big win, Tsabedze said he would like to see the same number of supporters at home in the second leg.

“I just wish this can go on and on. Thank you to our fans and all the Swazis who came with us. We want this to keep happening even for other clubs when they play for the country,” said Tsabedze.

“We scored and they quickly responded which just shows we were against a good side that is capable of anything going to second leg.”

Commenting on the game, he said their rivals were a very good side and feels they will have to put more effort in the second leg.

Should they win at home in the second leg, Swallows will likely face Zambia’s Zanaco FC who beat Gambia’s armed forces side 3-0 away in Gambia.

The return leg is set for Somhlolo National Stadium on February 21.
