FC Porto's Vincent Aboubakar

Cameroon’s Vincent Aboubakar missed Porto’s 5-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League last night.
The Indomitable Lions striker had to watch from the sidelines - having been unable to recover from a muscle injury - as his side were on the end of a footballing lesson from the Reds at Estadio Do Dragao.
The last 16, first-leg clash saw Liverpool enjoy total dominance and establish a virtually unassailable five-goal lead thanks to a hat-trick from Senegal’s Sadio Mane, as well as a strike each from Egypt’s Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
The return leg will be held at Anfield on March 6, though Aboubakar and his teammates will hold out little hope of turning the tie around.
They would be better served by concentrating their efforts on winning the Primeira Liga title.
In this regard, their next match sees them host Rio Ave on Sunday evening, when Aboubakar will hope to be fit to reclaim his place in the starting XI.
