New Orlando Pirates striker Augustine Mulenga has revealed his targets with the South African Premier Soccer League side.
The Zambian international said joining the Buccaneers is an honour and his mission is to win the CAF Champions League trophy.
Mulenga arrived at the Soweto giants this week after signing during the January transfer window following his exploits at the 2018 CAF African Nations Championship tournament in Morocco.
“Orlando Pirates is a big team with an impressive history. I’m honoured to be here and like my countryman and others before me, I want to work hard for the Club and create a lasting legacy that would make me and my country proud,” he said to the club website.
“I want to be able to tell my kids one day that I was at Orlando Pirates and show them what I achieved with the Club.
“I want to win the trophies here in South Africa and obviously when I refer to trophies I mean the big one, the league and/or Nedbank Cup, simply because these two trophies give us an opportunity to contest on the continent once again.
“African Champions League is the ultimate dream of mine and this is one of the reasons why I came to Orlando Pirates.”
The former Zanaco FC player could make his debut for Milutin Sredojevic’s side against Chippa United in the Absa Premiership on February 25. CLICK HERE TO VISIT AFRICAN FOOTBALL ZAMBIA
