PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: Christian Bassogog- The Cameroon star set for new Chinese Super League season

The fixtures for the 2018 Chinese Super League campaign have been revealed.

This will be the 15th season since the establishment of the Chinese Super League and league title sponsor is Ping An Insurance.

Bassogog, who turns 23 later this year, played an instrumental role in helping his club, Henan Jianye survive relegation from the top tier of Chinese football last season.

Jianye finished the 2017 season eight points above the relegation zone and they will be hoping to finish in the top half in the new campaign.

They will play host to Tianjin Quanjian in their first match which is scheduled to be played on the 2nd of March 2018.

The encounter will take place at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium in Zhengzhou, Henan. Kick-off is at 13h30.

This will be AFC Champions League- winning coach Dragan Talajic’s first competitive match in charge of Jianye.

The Croatian tactician was appointed Henan head coach last December replacing Chinese mentor Guo Guangqi.

He will look to Bassogog as one of his key players during the 2018 season.
