The UEFA Champions League round of 16 will continue with two further first-leg matches this evening, Sevilla v Manchester United and Shakhtar Donetsk v Roma.

From an African perspective, the main interest will come at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, where Sevilla will host Manchester United.

The visitors could field Ivorian defender Eric Bailly, who made his return to the Red Devils’ line-up - after almost four months on the sidelines - with a late cameo appearance in their 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town in the FA Cup this past weekend.

Bailly only played a minute or so of added time at the back end of the game, but his return from an ankle injury means he will be available to manager Jose Mourinho for this Champions League clash.

It may well be too soon for Bailly to make his first start - especially in such an important match - but he should at least be on the bench as cover for the likely centre-back pairing of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.

The evening’s other match will see Shakhtar host Roma at Oblansy SportKomplex Metalist. Both games kick off at 21h45 CAT.
