Napoli have signed a short-term replacement for Algerian Faouzi Ghoulam after the defender suffered a further injury set-back earlier this month.
Ghoulam fractured his kneecap in training ahead of his much anticipated return from a ligament tear which had kept him sidelined since November.
The 26-year-old left-back is only expected to be back in action in mid-April, by which time the Serie A season will almost be complete.
In order to bolster their squad and have cover in the position, Napoli have signed Croatian international left-back Hrvoje Milic until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old was a free agent, having had his contract at Greek club Olympiakos terminated in January, hence he can be signed outside of a transfer window.
