With his stay at RB Leipzig slowly coming to an end, Guinea midfielder Naby Keita has shocked many Liverpool fans with news that he is injured.
The Reds signing is set to join his new club in July this year and the English Premier League side’s fans have reacted badly to the news that he has picked up an injury ahead of his summer move to Anfield.
The Syli Nationale international agreed to join the Reds for a premium price on top of his £48million release-clause figure last summer, and will move to Jurgen Klopp’s side ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Although Liverpool actually tried to sign him early in January when they lost Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for £142million, the proposal never materialised.
Despite Keita failing to hit the right gears this season, he has continued to feature regularly for the Bundesliga club.
However, on Monday night he suffered an injury in the 2-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt, alongside his team-mate Willi Orban.
According to the German club, Orban suffered a deep cut to his right knee which required stitches and should be back in action soon.
Leipzig are at home against Italian giants, Napoli in the UEFA Europa League in the Last 32, both Keita and Orban will miss the clash.
The Thursday encounter is staged in Germany after a 3-1 win first leg in Naples last week.
