News coming out of Egypt is that ex-Pharaohs international striker Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido’ has confirmed negotiations with Paris St Germain over a managerial post starting next season.
The 34-year-old has confirmed to KingFut that he is locked in talks with the French Ligue1 side for a job as coach of the U19 team.
“There are negotiations going on, it might happen very soon,” Mido told KingFut.
The former AS Roma and Tottenham Hotspur player recently left his last post as Wadi Degla FC manager after spending just over 12 months in charge of the team.
Mido became the youngest manager in Egypt’s history to win a title after guiding Zamalek to the Egypt Cup trophy in 2014.
Furthermore, he was also the youngest manager appointed in history of Africa’s second-most successful club, he went on to have a brief stint as Ismaily coach and also worked as Lierse S.K. as Technical Advisor.
Previously with BeIN Sports as a football pundit, a station owned by Qatari businessman Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Mido’s appointment is likely to happen as Al-Khelaifi is the CEO of the French giants.
