Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have appointed Paa Kwesi Fabin as their new coach.
Fabin has been handed a one-year deal at the Kumasi-based club and replaces Englishman Steve Pollack, who was fired last Friday following the team's elimination from the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.
A statement from the club read: “Asante Kotoko SC is pleased to announce the appointment of Samuel Kwesi Fabin as the new Head Coach of the Club.
“Mr.Fabin is tasked with a duty to guide the Porcupines in the 2018/2019 season while managing talent at the club for overall success.”
Fabin was last in charge of Ghana’s team at the U-17 World Cup in India, where they reached the quarterfinals.
This will be his second spell at Asante, having previously worked as the club’s head of development as well as a brief spell as head coach.
The 59-year-old has also managed the likes of Berekum Arsenal, Heart of Lions, Hearts of Oak and Inter Allies in the GPL.
