Enugu Rangers head coach Gbenga Ogunbote cut a disappointed figure following his side's narrow defeat to Plateau United on Wednesday.
United secured a 1-0 win over Rangers in an Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match which was played in Jos.
Chizoba Amaefule, who is a defender by trade, scored the only goal of the match for United at the New Stadium.
Speaking to the league's official website, Ogunbote felt that his charges should have done better on the day.
“I am not happy with our performance this evening. We should have done better than what we displayed," Ogunbote said.
"Plateau United was not too spectacular though they exhibited why they were crowned champions.
"But I think we should have done better."
The win took United to the top of the league standings, while Rangers are placed ninth on the table.
