Richmond Boakye signs for Jiangsu Suning

Richmond Boakye has signed for Chinese Super League club Jiangsu Suning.

The Ghanaian forward signed a three-year deal with the CSL team, who are coached by Italian legend Fabio Capello, after passing a medical on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old joins from Serbian club Red Star Belgrade for a fee reported to be €5.5million.

Boakye’s impressive scoring form for Red Star saw him net 42 goals in 48 appearances, including 15 strikes in the ongoing Serbian top flight.

Boakye will hope to make his debut for Jiangsu when they play away to Guizhou Zhicheng this coming Sunday in their opening match of the 2018 CSL season.
