Despite missing their two previous matches, Guinea and RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita is set to make his return this weekend.
The German Bundesliga campaigner missed Leipzig’s last two games and is closing in on a return to the squad ahead of the Bundesliga match at home to Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
Die Rotten Bullen have suffered three straight defeats, two in the Bundesliga and one in the Europa League.
Following the two defeats in the Bundesliga, they dropped to sixth in the table, three points behind second-placed Dortmund.
However, manager Ralph Hassenhuttl’s troops will be boosted by the return of the 23-year-old midfielder, who was substituted with a muscle strain in their defeat at Frankfurt eight days ago.
Latest reports indicate that the Syli Nationale international has resumed team training on Wednesday and could make his 50th Bundesliga appearance for Leipzig, who won the reverse fixture 3-2 in October.
