Niger Tornadoes’ midfielder Bolaji Adeyemo believes that the club can still rediscover their last season’s form.
Tornadoes secured a 2-0 win over Abia Warriors in a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match in Minna last weekend.
The 20-year-old player told the league's official website that the club can rise again and do well in Nigeria's top flight league.
“It’s good to be back at home (in Minna) we felt really good, the fans really showed they’ve been missing us and they were marvelous with their support on Sunday. We want them to continue giving us this kind of support," he said.
“Last season was one of the best time I enjoyed playing football and especially for Tornadoes with our achievement and how we played, we want to be better than last season and help the club perform well in all competitions and I believe with how we played on Sunday and the support we will get from our people, we are on the rise again,” Adeyemo added.
Tornadoes, who have won two of their last five games, are placed 14th on the league standings.
They will face El-Kanemi Warriors in their next game on Sunday.
