Botswana Premier League (BPL) giants Township Rollers have arrived safely in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

Rollers will take on Tanzanian Premier League champions Young Africans in the 2018 CAF Champions League first round first-leg match on Tuesday.

Nicknamed Popa, Rollers reached the first round after defeating Sudanese giants Al Merrikh 4-2 on aggregate in the preliminary round.

Popa are hoping to become the first Botswana club to reach the group stage of the Champions League.

Rollers, who were crowned 2017/18 Mascom Top Cup champions on Saturday after defeating Orapa United, released the following statement:

A club statement read: "We have safely arrived and checked-in at our Hotel accommodation in Dar Es Salaam and are having some snacks, with the Mascom Top 8 Medals 😂

"We have ourselves booked our accommodation at Southern Sun Dar Es Salaam as per our agreement with Young Africans SC management, unlike in the previous round against Al-Merrikh SC where the home teams booked each others accommodation.

"This time around, each team books for itself, so Young Africans SC will book and arrange their own accommodation while they visit Gaborone."
