The 2018 CAF Confederation Cup’s First Round will continue with 10 first-leg matches across the continent on Wednesday, March 7.

The early game of the day takes place in Mauritius and sees AS Port Louis host Madagascar’s Fosa Juniors for an ‘Island derby’. This will be followed by several afternoon games, the pick of which sees Egyptian sides Zamalek and Al Masry away to Ethiopia’s Welayta Dicha and Tanzania’s Simba respectively.

Nigerian duo Enyimba - two-time African champions - and Akwa United will be in action in the late afternoon as they tackle away games at Benin’s Energie and Libya’s Al Ittihad respectively.

The day’s matches will be completed with Mali’s Djoliba hosting APR of Rwanda and Mozambique’s Costa do Sol taking on Cape Town City - who will be without coach Benni McCarthy as he attends to coaching license duties in Europe - in a Southern African derby in Maputo.

The return leg matches will be played on the weekend of 16-18 March, with the aggregate winners advancing into the playoff round, where they are joined by the 16 losers from the first round of the CAF Champions League.
