Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have unveiled 11 new players as they prepare for the start of the 2018 season.
The Accra-based club used their official Twitter account to show off their new signings yesterday, giving the players a photo and brief description of their salient attributes.
Burkina Faso striker Aboubacar Traore has been described as a “tireless fighter and a fox in the box”.
Traore is one of three foreigners signed by Hearts, with the others Congolese defender Radji Okemba (who impressed on trial) and Ivorian midfielder Camara Nguessan, who is described as “cool, calm, and collected in possession and athletic without the ball.”
The remaining signings include Benjamin Agyare – signed from Hearts of Lions – goalkeeper Theophilus Jackson, promoted forward Selasie Bakai, defenders Benjamin Afutu and Evans Quao, as well as midfielders Benjamin Afutu and Joseph Esso.
Hearts, like the other 15 GPL teams, are awaiting the start of the 2018 season following the legal battles which have prevented the Ghana FA from getting the new campaign underway.
